It has set many records from highest opening (2.20 cr), highest screens, biggest opening weekend (6.15 Cr), highest Ernakulam multiplexes week collection (51.85 lakhs ). Though it dropped swiftly in the week days the maximum number of screens helped to garner enough collection to reach 8 .30 Cr in 8 days with around 3,700 shows. Hit for Super Star Mohanlal and Director Ranjith. Ranjith may find it difficult that the critics are not with him this time. WOM of average film but meesha piri had its own impact for the excellent initial. New release of today and yesterday reduces its show count considerably. Whether it can survive among the fresh release another interesting aspect which we will have to see next week
The calculated move of wide screening is viewed as expectation of loss of screens to reduction of shows if the films are release together. This is somewhat right going through the charting of other films released this week. Many films find sharing screens to each other to accommodate each other.

As of now majority of the screens are smaller in the centers once the family audience starts to trickling in chances are there it will be shifted to bigger screens. Collects around 58 lakhs on day one.
Kunchako Boban lucky star of Ramzan season after successful Madhura Naranga all set for another hit through Jamna Pyari if the initial trends are going to sustain. The strange title and plenty of comedy in this racy drama has good WOM! Comedy numbers are meeting the expectation. Comedy sells fast at box office hence this film has potential to become a hit. Collects around 52 lakhs on opening day
The big release of today, Double Barrel with a huge budget released with average to below average WOM. Initial reports suggest of stylish making but overall the plot is not so exciting. Have discussed several times of about budget extravaganza but the Mollywood people still not understand. If you have crossed budget 10 Cr, just think that you have gambled the precious savings.
