It was an extend weekend with a national holiday of Republic day but whatever benefit derived is ultimately lost on Tuesday with a Hartal. Some of the major cities could muster up some evening shows but that is not enough cover up virtual 700 shows drowned by the strike.
��I �� is the real eye opener of collections performed better than Mollywood flicks and was in 90 plus screens in the second week. Another 4 Cr gross is added to its mammoth total in Kerala and it stands at 16.40 Cr in 14 days with 9,000 shows. It was enriched with some houseful shows in last Sunday and Republic day. It is the highest grosser in non Malayalam movies in Kerala and likely to sail further half of the screens in this week as well. Super Hit in Kerala.
Picket 43 applauded from all the corners. WOM is good and encouraging. Fared well on holidays with good to very good occupancy in around 50 plus screens. Expected to add some more screens this week which can accelerate its journey in box office ! A terrific second week is on the cards. Major Ravi succeeds big time after a huge gap. Thumps up for Prthviraj for the first hit of 2015. Collets around 2.60 Crore gross in 6 days.
Mariam Mukku moves on an average WOM . James Albert garlanded with bricks and flowers for directorial debut. Fahad Fazil saves another film. The wide release game plan somehow helped the film to neutralize the revenue in par with the cost. Posed a 1.80 Cr gross in six days .
Milli has above average WOM . Rajesh Pillai has created good expectation and gets the dividend in the form of decent initial when we compare reasonably low side release and small screens in major cities. Its touch n go situation with Mariam Muku! It collects around 1.50 Cr in 6 days.#
Rasam is a disaster. Rajeevnath spoils his name at the fag end of his career. Box office and reviews showed their face down. Maxlab holds it otherwise it would have been wash out from Monday onwards. Just touched 1 Cr that too due to presence of Mohanlal.
