No big release in Kearala this week and you expect all the films to hold on to theaters till next week bumper releases , but the answer is big no. Except Kunhiramayanam and to some extend Janma Pyari we have seen other films of Onam facing near wash out.
Kunjiramayanam cashing on post Onam weekend through further release of around 17 screens across Kerala taking its total to 75 screens. Had a terrific weekend and weekdays are above average thus it has doubled its first week collection, rather over taken it impressively. Collects approx 6.70 Cr in 14 days with 3,600 shows in Kerala. Some more screens are added in this week. Expect to be near 10 Cr by the end of 3rd week which will be huge since it has achieved break even status from theater run within last two weeks itself
Janmapyari is another hit for Kunchako Boban. Decent occupancy in the weekend and average collection in the week days. Collects around 6 Cr in 14 days in around 75 screens with 3,800 shows. It has crossed over to third week with minimal loss of screens.
Loham still leads in the total collection and show count figures though it does not have enough to carry forward in the fourth week due to massive removal and show reductions. In three weeks the film has grossed around 11.70 Cr in Kerala with 7,100 shows. Declared as hit and just near Super Hit status even now due to fantastic first week collection. It holds on around 30 plus screens in this fourth week.
Utopiayile Rajavu and Double Barrel are average grosser and disaster respectively as these films have clearly washed out from majority of the centers. But Mammooty film is safe through various rights while DB is a colossal loss
