But Malayalam films still thrives. Latest one to join the winning army is Dileep starrer �Ivan Maryadad Raman�(IMR) with impressive opening compared to his last few films. Though film has average WOM and it has given certain good occupancy for the weekend and an average occupancy in around 80 plus screens. This film has more screens compared to its competitors. The same old stories repeated again and again. Thankfully Dileep�s coming projects are entirely different and believe that this is end to the old clich� kind roles. Fortunately for this film�s better performance one more reason- the mass masala script of writers Sibi � Uday who have a section of audience to their credit. Collects around 2.60 Cr in 4 days. But it is too early to predict its box office fate. This weekend will decide its luck at box office.
Oru Vadakkan Selfie is double strong with adding some more screens. It has highest occupancy among the present releases and preferred choice among youths. Collects around 8.50 Cr in 12 days in Kerala with around 3,900 shows in around 85 screens. Break even and profit within short time leads to an unassailable conclusion of huge profit to the makers in the final run. Super hit already and may be the first block buster of the 2015. 10 Cr mark just hand distance away which will be achieved by this weekend. The strong performance shows that it is a potential contender to become second highest grosser of Mollywood by passing Bangalore days in which Nivin Pauly played important role. So Nivin to break his own record?. Drishyam is far so eye for BD. All the top stars in the film still active in promoting the film, a learning lesson to other stars who has social network accounts. Many stars end up in pre release promotion leaving the film high and dry during its theater run. Good thing about this film is that it has broken all barriers of region wise ups and down. A genuine crowd puller in the all regions of Kerala.

Collects around 6.75 Cr in 12 days in Kerala with around 4,000 shows.EE had good second week than expected. Hit as of now with chances of another good weekend. Super Star Mohanlal � Manju combo with Sthyan Anthikad has virtually saved the movie with strong family audience support. I was wrong in predicting 8 Cr in the life run as per inputs of first week but indication is that it will cross 8 Cr by this weekend itself and by going through the present run it has the potentials of even touching in between around 10 Cr to 12 Cr mark which will be a super hit status.
