Fireman is a firing hit. The first film by Megastar Mammootys in 2015 opened with good WOM at the FDFS and thereafter its spread like a fire. Though many centers were welcomed with a cold reception but it changed dramatically by the evening as shows were getting houseful to good occupancy. Director Deepu Karunakaran�s second attempt at Mollywood has brought him all the luck he wanted. The initial reports suggest of sure hit and remaining question to be answered is whether it can become Super Hit and Blockbuster?
The Milan Jaleel produced film has released in around 85 plus screens and big cities are having bigger screens which can mint good revenue through initial collection itself. Multiplexes have shown good booking and with little challenge from Haram it will have superfluous weekend at the box office. The first day collection figure is a good 67 lakhs.
Haram another Fahad Fazil show with debutant director Vinod Sukumaran. Released in 70 plus screens with average report.
Other language films are having dream run Kerala pushing Mollywood flicks to back bench at box office. Another week one of the top three slot is snatched by yet another Tamil film. Dhanush�s Anegan . The KV Anand film is having an above average to good WOM . The balanced packaged formula is working in Dhanush favour. Has done reasonable good performance at box office and covers around 1.80 Cr in Kerala, which is fantastic considering fan following. Rajini, Kamal, Vijai , Ajith , Surya and Vikram , the list gets one more actor , Dhanush. The courage distributor in releasing 80 plus screens apparently proved increasing acceptability for the young star.
Saaradhi giving some pleasure to Malayalam film box office watchers. Though not a sensation surely it had ripple effect and may ease makers by something to cheer about. One Crore business for totally unnoticed release on the first day is big leaf of success. Average to above average WOM and may sail to second week in many centers, a big milestone considering low cost involved in it.
