The luck is not on their side this time. Punayalan combo� Jayasurya � Ranjith Shankar � Su Su Sudhi Valmeekam opened to positive reviews with the stellar performance from Jayasurya as the main plus point. With the good WOM it was expected to be Super Hit but the movie just managed to get the Hit tag due to its low cost. Film with a shoe stringed budget of 3.70 Cr will be in profit zone with satellite rights. Though it still had around 40 plus screens on its fifth week through reduced shows but the occupancy were not enough give required collection. It has collected around 5.60 Crore with 4,600 shows in 31 days. Exam and Shabari Mala season said to be the reason for the low occupancy of the film. More over the strike also took away precious four days. As the holidays starts Multiplexes showed good improvements in the evening shows but it is too late considering bunch of new release this week.
